GET YOUR DAILY DOSE

PLEASE ALLOW ME TO PUT YOU UP ON GAME.

Unknowingly to most, your body produces cannabis like chemical compounds known as endocannabinoids. Endocannabinoids are molecules that are similar to cannabis molecules (cannabinoids) except……... YOUR BODY PRODUCES THEM!!! Crazy right???

Your body then uses these molecules to attach to cannabinoid receptors (CB receptors) throughout the body. Hold up now...What is a cannabinoid receptor you ask??? These receptors are tiny cells all throughout your body that are able to accept cannabinoids and process its information to your body, releasing the effects of cannabinoids. CB1 & CB2 are the two only known receptors in the body. These receptors act as a lock and the cannabinoids act as a key to unlocking the effects of cannabinoids. BAZINGA!!! It is at these receptors THC & CBD attach and the chemical effects are experienced.

No matter how cannabis is introduced to the body (topically, ingested, smoking, vaping) these are the same receptors that cannabinoids and endocannabinoids attach to, there is no difference. Your body produces endocannabinoids because in conjunction with the network of cannabinoid receptors it is used to regulate; your mood, pain relief, inflammation, appetite and sleep patterns to name a few. If you did not not have these receptors or endocannabinoids, your body would not function properly. With understanding all of this, let us break it down even further.

CB1 & CB2 receptors are distinctly different, so don't confuse them. CB1 receptors are found primarily in the brain and central nervous system, where CB2 receptors are found throughout the cells in your body and the immune system. The most known endocannabinoids are AG-2 and Anandamide. AG-2 molecules bind to CB2 receptors. It may be possible that CBD is so beneficial in pain relief due to your body having CB2 receptors located throughout it. Pairing with CB1 receptors, Anandamide is found primarily in the brain and has effects comparable to THC, Oh La La. No wonder, Anandamide is coined after the Sanskrit word ananda, meaning bliss, delight, and joy.

It is maddening to think that this plant and cannabinoids have been so misunderstood, when in fact your body produces these chemicals (endocannabinoids) that are used to regulate your body. Research is still ongoing to further understand endocannabinoids in the human body, but ask yourself, does your body produce tobacco chemicals???? NO

Must Have Fitness Apps

athletic-female-fit-1112634.jpg

Let’s get fit!? That is a happy or uncomfortable mantra for some. To aid in your combat to get fit, I offer you two of my favorite, and most useful apps. First is “eat this much”. We all struggle with what to eat, and how much to eat. This app makes that struggle, much easier. “eat this much” lets you decide what diet, or eating restrictions you may have. Be it you are pescatarian, vegetarian, or grant it you have no restrictions, “eat this much” filters out food as you please. Once you decide on what you want to eat, “eat this much” generates meals for you based upon the total calories you wish to intake and also how many meals you want to eat. Don’t like a meal? Just regenerate a new meal until you find that perfect compliment to your vanilla protein shake you had at lunch. It even lets you finely tune your meals according to how much protein, carbs, fats, etc. you want to intake, given you need to hit those macros. With that, go on over and give the app a try and let me know what you think. I love it, so Im recommending it.

The second app on my list, is more widely known. Some of you may have heard of it, “MyFitnessPal”. This app is much more than just a calorie counter, it makes you realize what you are eating! When I first used this app I assumed I ate healthy. I didn’t eat fast food, and I made healthy decisions, or so I thought. The app works by logging every last thing you put into your mouth. For the most part, the food library is accurate. It allows for users to upload their own food information, which accumulates into a large food library. It also tracks your macros, cholesterol, fats (good and bad), sugar, sodium, etc. This app covers it all. I know some people don’t care to count or track calories, but to those I say give it a try and find out how healthy you really are. I dare you.
